I frequently go to the fabric district and find wonderful pieces of fabric that reflect the season. It does not matter if it is for draperies or dresses, if it fits with your décor and style go for it. I prefer to make a runner because I love my table and do not want to hide it with a tablecloth. Add in a few gourds, some fall leaves, some candles of different sizes, and then my little trick — add in amber glass beads. This makes the table pop because the beads reflect the candle light as the sun sets and as everyone sits down to dinner, the amber glow is fabulous and so inviting.
Being an immigrant and a foodie, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday — it is about giving thanks for being here in this wonderful country and is celebrated by cooking a fabulous feast — what's not to love!
