The road that led to Casablanca International Events has been full of twists and turns, ups and downs and many wonderful surprises. My love of the culinary arts became apparent at the age of five and resulted in a scholarship to CERT - the Irish Culinary Arts Program. Now while the Irish are not exactly known for their cuisine, CERT is an excellent school and I am proud to say that I graduated first in my class.
After a brief stay in New York City, I moved to Los Angeles and discovered a talent for event production while working for Just Off Melrose. My official role was as Executive Chef but I became very involved in the production of the events. On a side note, while I was there I created Just Crisps and Chips which is still sold in supermarkets in the US.
Eventually, I opened John Connolly Catering and Connolly's Restaurant. Both were rewarding experiences and received numerous accolades from Bon Appetit, the LA Times, LA Magazine and Zagat.
The creation of Casablanca International Events is a result of all of my past endeavors and I feel very lucky that my work is one of the great joys in my life...
